We are three travelers now after Jan joined us in Shanghai in the afternoon. In the morning, we strolled the ancient watertown of Zhouzhuang and passed the 8.888km mark with my car. Hope we stay as lucky as until now. The day closed with a fantastic steak dinner at the Bund.
Having arrived at dawn yesterday we now got to see Zaha Hadid’s Youth Convention Center. Our way to Zhouzuang near Suzhou then took quite a bit longer than planned due to a full day of heavy rain...
A long driving stage today heading South with almost 600 km through mainly flat land. Right before Nanjing, we also crossed the Yangtze River. For the next days, we will move a bit slower...
Also today, the other Jan started heading to Shanghai to join the tour on Friday!
Arrived early in the afternoon in Qingdao for a city walk with a seafront pier, christian churches, and the famous Tsingtao brewery.
