Today: another visa run to Hong Kong so that I can make my way all trough the rest of China. Getting up early to hand In the application before the daily deadlines to be back in Shenzhen for dinner. Afterwards we’ll left for Guangzhou, arriving only short before midnight...
Day trip to Austria! We stopped in Hashitate, a near perfect copy of Hallstatt in Austria before heading on to Shenzhen.
We spent most of the morning exploring one of the largest historic Tulou dwellings in Yongding. In the afternoon we moved on to Heyuan in Guangdong province.
Today was driving day, we had to do an 8 hour/ 650 km drive to get to Yongding in rural Fujian. We also passed the 10.000 km mark on my car which translates into a 4.000 km journey by now.
Arriving late, we will start exploring the Tulou round houses tomorrow...
After a beautiful drive through the mountains south of Hangzhou we spent the afternoon in China’s porcelain capital Jingdezhen. There it’s a stark contrast between the improvised and half shabby sculpture factory and the newly remodeled site downtown with all its galleries.
